'ELITE' GCH Sugar Moon Zenaida 2*M(pending)

HOLY SMOKES, WHAT A YEAR 2022 HAS BEEN FOR ZENAIDA!! She scored an ALL EXCELLENT 92 for linear appraisal, WOW! Also to note: ZENAIDA IS AN 11.5 YEARS OLD, 9th FRESHENER! (That’s not a typo.. DOB: 2/11/2011, feel free to look it up!) My appraiser told me to bring this gorgeous lady to nationals THREE TIMES, so… off to Harrisburg, PA we went! Zenaida was by far the oldest doe, placing 14th! Unfortunately she didn’t fill like she normally does at home, but for her to walk well in the ring (having NEVER stepped hoof in a ring prior to nationals…) and to literally WOW the judges was absolutely incredible! Shortly after nationals, I brought her to the Quad State Classic show in Spencer, IA. Zenaida easily swept all 3 rings, winning Grand Champion & Best of Breed in every ring. Once again, Zenaida WOW'd all of the judges! “The longevity she displays, dairy character, power, strength and production is incredible!” Zenaida left that show a permanent champion! DID I MENTION SHE’S 11.5 YEARS OLD?! Zenaida is also on DHIR milk test this year, so hopefully she can earn her Superior Genetic designation and have her AR on file!

UPDATE: Zenaida finished her 2022 lactation on DHIR. I was hoping for a full 305 days, but she was not happy it's October and shes STILL being milked. (Z has never been milked this long before). So I dried her off in mid November. Results:

• 246 DIM, 836# milk, 69# butterfat & 33# protein

Not too bad for being transported around the country & undergoing IVF. This gorgeous lady deserves a restful winter :)
